The Island Shines
Jewels are the rocks
That shine upon my island.
Precious gems as bold as I,
Cause light to enter in my eye.
From within the cliff,
I see all I own beyond.
The tide won't cover, overreach,
Before I'll have you from the beach.
Water sparkles in the sun,
Well before I knew how good.
The passion that you'd brought,
Is the only gift I'd ever sought.
So stay with me forever,
Don't let this storm abate.
Upon the tiny island home,
Will be the joy, you and I have known.
