The King and I

The King and I

Camelot is formed,
By a dream, an ideal.
Arthur in his role,
Is the captain of my quest,
The role model I must follow,
Nothing about this King, hollow.

Dreams make-eth the man,
In me, as in He,
And all who dare to be free.
Come with us way up high,
Here we sit in the silent sky,
O'er the Forth he steals my eye.

When love was pure,
As in those romantic days,
He'd show us how to be.
I remember that dream of He,
Brought to bear within me,
Where Camelot's law sets us free.

The Juggler

Airborne, see them fly,
To the floor they bounce,
Then spiral skyward high.

Show us how to laugh,
On the pavements in sunshine,
Happiness you create, an aftermath.

I love to see such skill,
The floor is all yours,
And the applause is ringing still.

Be it balls, be it knives,
We can marvel for a while,
At how you are able to bring alive.

All the balance and the poise,
Is an art you are winning,
Judging by all your audience noise.

A Coven @ Rosslyn

A Coven @ Rosslyn

I met the laird,
Here at the glen,
He just fobbed me off again.

Stay high on the path,
His final intimidating words,
Sad for him they go unheard.

For I am curious,
To see what goes on,
In the woods at night, this season.

I know of witches,
That come with flowing robes on,
Soon beyond the sunsets gone.

And I hear a rumour,
Of the incantations and rites,
These lovers of nature perform at nights.

Gathered round a fire bright,
Cauldrons bubbling, fingers working,
Catching mysterious intruders lurking.

The laird is lord,
Here in this tiny glen,
His witches, wives, enjoying men.

For in the darkness,
There is a harrowdens heat,
Where all shall worship, at her feet.

I don't say impure,
This observance is as old as time,
I understand the reason, not the rhyme.

So come I must,
To help expel all the fear,
Of this witches coven, I am drawing near,

Something Obvious

Something Obvious

Something obvious to me,
Shouts me from afar.
Shocking me into a trance,
Striding here, oh shall we dance?

Romance is to blossom,
Reward for you and me.
Red and green and sunshine, free,
Resplendent like the Rowan tree.

Query all you need to know,
Quick before the moments pass.
Quote me, I am yours to keep,
Quiet is the love we'll reap.

Passion has a way it's own,
Poison for some men it's true.
Put my theory to the test,
Please kiss me, I will do the rest.

Knight of Cups

Knight of Cups

Gently, the horsed knight,
Grips the chalice, the prize.
Riding on despite the sun,
For hope is in his eyes.

Fighting for a worthy cause,
Is what sets him apart.
Suited armour for the tests,
Will help to guard his heart.

Filled with passion for the love,
That makes him journey here.
Gives the brave and gentle man,
No need to live for fear.

Crossing boundaries, barriers, miles,
He rides forever moving on.
Towards the sun and his reward,
Before his time away be gone.

Messenger is part his cause,
To bring a resounding cheer.
Boldly going into the desert,
Where the message will become clear.

Along the banks of refreshment,
He rides to spread the news.
His words are mightier than the sword,
They can take away our blues.

He is an angel of the good news,
Riding on a pristeen white steed.
And he carries the cup of gold,
If his messages we shall head.

At the edge of darkness....

At the edge of darkness....

It's oh so quiet.
A silence hangs morbidly,
Waiting to pounce in travesty,
Of this cold collective presence.
I feel so very nervous,
Yet hold my grip on sanity.
All the night creatures wait,
Something is out there,
Out here, with me, and thee....

Pressure from the silent hours,
Collapse and cause me doubt.
Afraid I am to walk,
Where others fear to stalk.
And the darkness covers me,
Shows me a way to be.
But I cannot be true,
If I cave in and take you,
Your life's not mine to hold.

I spy a ray of light,
Across the darkened sky,
And here I wonder why,
I'd fell and what I'll do.
Being open to the light,
Negates my want of darkness
So taking you to stand besides,
Is this not treachery to be,
When I should let things be?

Cupids arrow and his aim,
Are finding me in his target.
I want to run, avoid deceit,
But darkness grabs me forcefully.
Take hold of life beyond the dark,
Where devils fear to tread,
I tell myself despite this love,
I'll suffer in the end of days,
But will have lived for what love's worth.

Love Will Come

Love Will Come

Bide thee patiently,
What ye think of time.
For in the hour,
Will cometh the divine.
Hope is wasted,
If not thought through.
Be of strong heart,
Because love will find you.

You think me foolish,
How could I possibly know?
What will happen soon,
And how grace will flow.
But I assure you,
Lose not your determination.
Your faith be tested,
But your love will come.

Hallowed Mount

Hallowed Mount

Sunrises quickly,
Over ancient hallowed soil,
Where great and noble men,
Have withered, no more toil.
Fast the ages,
Will race on by,
This mount has cowered,
Beneath a storm filled sky.
And dead men's bones,
Were laid here to rest,
A witness to history,
That they fought to bless.
Cold and holy,
Now their final places,
But on days of solstice,
Sun and Moon touch their faces.

Chiffon Dreams.

Chiffon Dreams.

'Twas thus, and always seemed,
Every time you entered into dream,
For I have known no other love,
That brought me here to rise above.
You knew the wind and sang,
Always through chiffon curtains rang,
Conquered me and made timpany's bang,
Cymbals crash and my heartstrings twang.

Finest pale Salmon sheer fabric,
Clings to your shape like pure magic,
Notice how my smile has been,
Every time you stoop, guess what I've seen?
Something aches, makes me delirious,
I want you always, I'm being serious,
To have and hold till time is done,
You are my dream, the only one...

Piper of the Glen.

Piper of the Glen.

Auld langs syne caress,
Here my soul, I confess.
With pipes and sweet symphony,
My heart strings he, can address,
Unwind all, my doubts and stress.

Danny boy, in fields of Athenry,
All the glen, beyond I spy.
Where pipes kindle, feelings new,
And on the timeless clouds I fly,
Along bonnie bonnie banks, of Loch Lommond high.

Beckoning me, into a dreamlike state,
I meet my maker, and my fate.
Now the pipes cannot stop at all,
This time it's final, I won't be late,
When I meet the piper of the pearly gate.

Faraway Bay...

Faraway Bay...

I now look out upon you,
As you have never been.
Only me, a lonely place,
Here where no-one else has seen.

Shall anyone care at all,
That you are so very unique?
A love that gives for all time,
Is what we dream or what we seek.

A friend we can call ours,
Loyal and true yet always changing.
Here I lie with you weeping,
Your perfection I see you rearranging.

Storms or sunshine bother not you,
Your form is beyond our comprehension.
Did you know I'll still love you,
Would you have known, if I'd forgotten to mention?

I Cannot Forget.

I Cannot Forget.

Who hath moved me,
Taken the vacant space away?
Did you not say forever,
Some time before that day?
What could I have done,
To convince you to fight,
And seek protection every night?
Whilst I could enjoy that light,
Of treating you darling, so right....

Who hath held you,
Each new amazing dawning day?
Did you never mean forever,
How did our love slip away?
Tell me what I have lost,
For I am still missing you,
especially the funny things you'd do.
And I cannot beat feeling blue,
When I had believed, our love true....

White Horses.

White Horses.

Galloping towards me,
A fury of surging white horses.
Rising from the ocean deep,
To throw their heads before my feet.
Countless times have they ridden,
To reach this stony beach.
Once more they break through,
Showing their mane and lashing tail.
Pounding the surf with a grace,
That shows me how they race.
Twisting sand chomping at the bit,
Tirelessly running, here they cannot sit.
Foaming by mouth and reaching high,
Watch how they assault the sky.
Could it be the end of me,
When I carry on looking out to sea?
To watch these horses, how they dance,
From tides and hopes that bring me chance.
To be at peace until my end,
Where I have loved, you my friend.

Pandora's Grotto.

Pandora's Grotto.

I spy with my little eye,
Something beginning with rocks.
Time washed, rolled by sea,
To be here laid,
By you and by me.

Artists retreat that grew,
And grew bigger each visit.
Pilgrims would come and lay,
Foundations, walls and windows,
Round is the style of today.

Combinations of nature and man,
Have brought a unique view.
So many voices so many minds,
Wrought into life a temple,
On Holy island, seek and you will find.

Crept up on me.

Crept up on me.

Here in times of doubt,
I come to see a power,
Left in me, deep within,
A trace of the love you gave.

Who would have ever known,
If what I felt were true?
Or if the moments within,
Had any really lasting power.

Away in a day of hope,
Came all of my frustrations,
And a way to see new life,
Where you were my forever friend.

Girl you made things clear,
Turned water into wine before me,
Soured the cream of a worry,
How my life would now become.

Misread You.!!

Misread You.!!

Though it is simple things,
That are giving me a clue,
I wonder how,
I never saw this face of you?
Don't worry girls I wont despair,
Sometimes this life aint playing fair.
In way benevolent to me,
I wonder did you notice what I see?

Gold is the prize of a lover,
When furnished with a pure soul.
I guess I had misread you lady,
And who and what was your goal.
But still I love the light in your eyes,
Even if it doesn't shine for me,
Nor your heart beating my tune.
Please don't forget though,
For this is the way of life,
And the way that I must roll....

Another Hill, Another Mile.

Another Hill, Another Mile.

O'er the valleys pet...
You and I wont forget,
Divn't tell me ya'd want it,
When I'm the best wi' you pet...

Canny lass to me, pet...
Wi ay I cannut deny it,
Here 'pon cop and tor we sit,
Holdin' hands and making it, pet...

Away the day here, pet...

Singing songs and marchin' on,

Mood of the Man..

Mood of the Man..

Today, this bright and warm morn',
I have felt the sense of low,
A type I'd not care to know,
I'm hoping by lunch. It'll go.

Who would for-see the ebbing,
Of a mood towards the sea,
Lonely a man could never be,
I'm missing having you here with me.

Some days are worse because,
I have known a deep kind of love,
When I'd look into your eyes above,
And for a while, feel I was loved.

And here I walk the earth,
Searching I guess, to forget this,
A sense of overwhelming halfness,
Without your hand, I long to caress.

Stranded @ St Mary's.

Stranded @ St Mary's.

Forgetting the tidal flow,
Oh well, I don't know.
Stuck here a while,
On this tiny little Isle,
But for the submersed ¼ mile.

Could I have swam,
Been yet a braver man,
Or waited lonely as I am?

Should I have stayed,
Accept my bed has been made,
Or taste this steel blade?

Remembering how you were,
Laughing always, a tear streaming blur.
Found out, how to love,
Fitted, like hand to glove,
Now stranded, and you watching above.

Mouth of the Tyne.

Mouth of the Tyne.

The mouth of the Tyne,
So gently swollen till now,
Carries along the dreams of ours,
Stronger than any earthly powers.

Her currents flow in and out,
Settled by a tidal ebbing flow,
Who really knows where they go,
Or how strongly winds shall blow?

But here amidst the early dew,
I sat and stared and thought of you,
And how our love eternal blue,
Flowed like the Tyne, I once knew.

And as the sun fades for today,
I remember the day you went away,
I failed the love I had to say,
Or share the Tyne mouth crystal bay.
The mouth of the Tyne was all mine today.

Oxidizing....fe.

Oxidizing....fe.

Cold, oxidizing steel,
What I feel?
More, somehow, more,
Somehow so surreal.
Yes, this is how I feel...!

Clouded even in sun,
Traces run.
Down to earth, more,
It's what your worth,
From earth to earth...!

Counting days, so many days,
Alone out here.
Climate changing tones,
Pulling at your bones,
Till you be gone...!

Droves.

Droves.

In a moment,
So many came and came.
They'd heard your fame,
And knew only your name.

Clicking and memorizing away,
Flashes and eyes that play,
Across your steel,
So very large and real.

These simple folk,
Share a laughter, a joke.
In honour of your size,
Majestic, powerful before our eyes.

And then rushing,
They scamper away, away, away.
Happy that one day they'll say,
We saw an angel, one fine day.

Silent Guardian.

Silent Guardian.

Rock solid, not a murmur.
Not rain, not wind,
Nor sunshine again,
Will hold you back,
From watching over us now.

Who could have known,
This protection you'd shown?
But here we see you,
Bronzed by time and air,
Showing how you'll always care.

Lofty friend, can I pretend,
A while to believe more?
You shall reside here with me,
Silently guarding, and protecting be,
Till, from bloodshed we're free.

AYOTEAHEN.

          AYOTEAHEN.

I have sat beneath,
Your feet and wept.
For the lonely, for sorrow,
And for the myriad of dying.
I came here to ask,
That you watch over still,
All that will listen,
To peace and a new way.
Help us please,
To not fear more pain,
Not to cause more pain,
Wash our tears in the rain,
Make our hearts whole again.
At the door you stand,
Proud as our guardian here,
Not withering or cowaring,
Always drawing us near,
That we could go on to hear,
A day filled with only cheer.

Close Your Mouth.

Close Your Mouth.

Hysteria has become,
A free symbol of desire.
I wanted more than you,
It would seem,
I felt unclean,
To crave,
Your touch,
So very much.
Not because of you,
Only my need,
I wanted to feed,
So we could,
Lead to love,
The kind of fabled tales.
In heaven I,
Had seen,
You,
The surreal dream,
So very lean,
And beautifully mean,
To loves endless stream, alas...

And here,
I dare to peer,
Into pools of azure blue.
Behind which,
Is you,
A girl who knew,
To kiss me well.
And in,
Love I fell,
So very, very well,
A heavy spell,
That can lead to hell,
Where you dwell.
Enticing me,
With open mouth,
That exotic mouth,
That sexy, erotic mouth,
Now heading south,
To purchase me,
And flood the sea,
Releasing heaven to me.....
