Spare a Thought !
When you hear the voice,
“Please spare some change sir.”
Will you walk on bye ?
No-one is saying it is ours,
The blame for a stranger,
Who's plight is begging a favour.
But what will you all do,
When you are surrounded,
With wealth beyond your needs ?
A poor, cold , hungry stranger,
Who can know their story,
In that briefest of moments ?
Please spare a human thought,
That our future be bright,
We could be that beggar in plight...
