What Lies Beneath

What Lies Beneath

Under it all,
folds of weathered sun kissed skin,
is a soul,
that of a man,
that only you,
have been able to see.

Why and whom,
could have known,
just what became,
the day you,
came.
Never the same,
as I felt insane,
perhaps love to tame,
feeling your fame,
knowing a name.

Again, you came,
deeper, deeper, much deeper.

You alone,
saw the expanse,
knew how to dance,
put me in this trance,
are you really from France ?

The whole filled,
now,
distilled as Whiskey,
you're making me,
frisky,
to be ever so riske.

You:-
Drew me,
Knew me,
Blew me,
Away...!
