Crunching
through walnuts,
Soft
sweet sponge and carrots,
Taste
buds racing to know,
All
the delights here to savour.
Tickling
my tonsils,
Swirls
of Earl Gray combine,
To
make this taste fest,
Mine.
Delicious
treats to come,
For
an age of denial.
Don't
they warn you,
A
moment on the lips,
A
lifetime on the hips ?
Better
to enjoy this day,
Than
wish it all away.
