Transfixed.

      Transfixed.

So what is it about youth?
We’ve all had it,
Pissed it up the wall
So to speak;
Been reckless, foolish and often
Filled with creativity.
So why do we now
Hanker for the youth we had?
Is it because we’ve
Rued the day,
The one where our dreams,
Have been lost,
Or ran far away?
Sparkling eyes, so full of hope,
Tender lips pressed
To the glass half full.
May I praise such temptation,
Cravings of the ancient flesh?
Could we steal a moment,
Where I’d held your gaze,
A secret tongue tied kiss?
Pretty woman, with wild smile,
Could you yet learn from me,
Ahead of the crisis
To live your life tortured,
Transfixed in the world of others,
And run away, where love is free?
Oh bold sensual goddess,
Would you come, walk awhile
On the wild side with me?
