Fear you’d leave me.

Fear you’d leave me.

Life as we know it, could be
A day or two in mortal fear.
Some doubts of how you’d love,
Or how you’d leave.
Mutterings of how my mind reacts,
Folly of the past comes haunting,
Why you’d ever love me back,
Holds me in suspense.

Drawn to something safe, or safer
Than my eagles spirit, flown to
Mountains beyond the icy skies, I
Know you’d fear to tread.
Nothing could be further from, my
Eye nor heart or wishing well,
By dedication I shall always be
Frightened to confront this fear in me.
