Odd
Sock Hero
A
giant of a gentleman,
perhaps
a fabled explorer....
Come
to greet an old friend,
share
a special new treasure.
Expose
a truth of discovery,
or
court a beneficiary source.
Tweed
jacket and wide brimmed hat,
a
give away to his class.
Some
professional in his field,
a
professor of archaeology perhaps.
Groomed
and well mannered style,
an
air of real confidence too.
But
as I scan the man,
I
find an odd aspect of attire.
His
feet are sporting brogues,
yet
his socks are clearly odd.
Both
of colourful patterned style,
still
they clearly stand out a mile.....
