Being Me.

   Being Me.

If I were a person to fear,
I fear that I’m too different.
Odd because of ways I’m gay,
Odd in ways too odd to say.
Not that being happy’s wrong,
It’s just not everyone sings the
Same tune or the same song.
And for this reason people stare,
They imagine I’m odd sod, nut job
Someone who’s living without a care.
But what’s so wrong with me
Being strong, courageous and bold,
Is it far too hard to understand or see?
Do you observe the quieter things,
The silence in breathing in,
And letting stress go out the door,
So I’d be free to live some more?
The clue for you is in the name,
I’m not pretending that I’m the same,
I challenge all the world can offer,
And move in ways that follow
The eternal flow of the higher spirit.
Working for the good of one and all,
Sometimes sets me apart from you,
Did you not see the way I’ve moved,
Setting examples that prove love is true?
Simple life is what I’m leading,
I’d had my time of heart left bleeding,
So now you’ll find me out in front,
Filling my time with kindness and love.
Sharing that with all who’re needing,
And by this method I’ve found delight
To be at peace, no need to really fight,
I’m moving in the ways of friendship,
For the love of life, giving

‘Peace a chance’!
