Compostela.

Compostela.

I cry tears for Santiago,
for the weeping is not vain.
I cry tears for San Tiago,
in the light of love I gain.
Here a pilgrimage of ancients,
brought me to know a truth.
Walking across Meseta plain,
I recaptured the oil of my youth.

How many seasons I'd forgotten,
before I walked the way of saints.
How many seasons I'd forgiven,
to live free of a life that taints.
Go again to Saint James' rest,
be all you are and more.
Serve no more the infantile,
show convictions room and pain the door.

They came in droves to see,
a myriad of pilgrims in prayer.
They came in droves to be,
a brotherhood where souls can dare.
Ten thousand more, a million,
as stars set upon the sky.
The new millennium of the Milky Way,
bring a fresh tear into my eye.

Go follow thy heart in memory,
to prevail the walk of the few.
Go follow thy heart in mystery,
where so few had known of you.
Love is all I ask you for,
you have come my way before.
Stretched out across a star field,
see the faithful come once more.

She Held Him.

She Held Him.

Oh Julia, poor Julia,
troubled by the hand of fate,
setting out quickly,
forgotten to close the gate.
thoughts awry, haste not hate,
never more shall she be late.

A boy she held,
many times in her arms,
a smiling son, a fonder one,
but she cannot hear his psalms.
He sang of her so many ways,
until he joined her at the gates.

Oh Julia, poor Julia,
a life short and sweet,
so much yet to give and share,
flame red hair and tiny feet.
And in her arms protected all,
became a legend who once was small...

Devils Trust.

Devils Trust.

An anger moves a mountain,
Where and when we come to see.
Told, lost, lived, once more sold,
Given to a pallid foe,
No friend of mine,
Who'd undermined,
And cast a spell of slander.
Leapt to a tidal dawn,
Once upon a frosty morn',
My fears became a fury,
And nothing passed my way.
Lived, loved, stolen, gone for good,
My hopes are dashed in dust,
Where ever my spirits rust,
And I'd become a Devil's trust.
Coppery fire is mine tonight,
I fight to light passions fame,
And make for myself,
An honoured name, a game
But not for the shame.

Irrelevant Gail.

Irrelevant Gail.

“As Gail gingerly munched her
Chinese chicken salad,
she spoke of love.”

Mouthing the words she knew
her body shivered,
quivered with hatred delivered.

How dare he forget her
birthday was today,
she'd not forget his.

He profusely explained a lie,
why even try,
accept it was an oversight.

She felt betrayed, humiliated now
for timeless love
had all but departed.

His futile remarks were lost.
No sensibility cost
could have predicted this end.

But Gail flew for his throat,
a subtlety note,
in scathing reprimanding tones.

Good old Tony came through.
Handsome to suppress,
with his eyes he'd undress.

Feelings were short in demand.
No power to command,
if he had his way again.

So, “as Gail gingerly munched her
Chinese chicken salad,”
she spoke not a word of love....

Inspired by my friend Tereza.
Quoted from a book by Stephen Chbosky.
'The perks of being a wallflower.'

Corpulent and Jaundice.

Corpulent and Jaundice.

Some might say,
oh yeah it is as dark night,
that we the mortal,
become covered beneath detritis,
shite...!

Pay no attention,
to all things to sustain life.
be clever, be educated,
better to be titled than let stupid
rife...!

Listen and imitate,
all things that you're to be told.
don't fret yourself over,
being useful to others before you're
old...!

Learn only rules,
be not one known to complain.
do all that you're asked,
don't concern yourself with what will
remain...!

Things of importance,
are always to be written in books,
learn words like corpulent and jaundice,
upon knowing their meaning, life's lessons
hook...!

Believe only honour,
will come from getting it right.
it's the way of all ages,
how our species came into the
light...!

Forgetting not council,
to be the best you can be.
adhere not to expectation,
if you ever dream of a life
free...!

Jail-house Love.

Jail-house Love.

My love is drawn in,
to own a love of her.
Though she be yet a lassie,
I fear my heart be hers.
I wonder where she goes,
and all the boys she knows.
Could she know my coveting,
where I do love thee true ?
I watch the places,
her feet tread, and glow.
I marvel at her sparkling eyes,
to see them smile once more.
Her hands so soft and gentle,
guard a touch of grace.
I wonder will my lassie,
come and hold and kiss my face.....

Poem adapted from an old Scottish song.

Witch of the Duddo Stones.

Witch of the Duddo Stones.

Oh where do you go to my lovely,
Where are you resting now ?

Where once we met in meadows,
I remember how I'd felt.
Something stirred,
a breeze blew through,
To bring a summer to an end.
To close a chapter of my life,
And bring new ones
To begin again.

I'd seen you dancing on the mount,
Where angels once had tread.
Where you and I
Both kissed a dream,
An adventure to follow,
Till time be done.
A source of something glorious to me,
You broke the mold of witches true.
You courted me with tender hands,
And I became consoled
And ever new.

But where have you gone to my lovely,
When I sleep all alone in my bed ?

When all noises from creations abound,
And your silence
Is dumbfounding me.
The lazy day, we came to meet,
Will ever live
My greatest of all.
Will always be
A clear sweet memory,
Until we dance again in pastures new.

Odd is my notion
To be your man,
For I have known not
Before you.
For I have lived the fullest way,
Where disappointment
Was my only friend.
I'd love to live with you in peace,
Where the wonders of you
Could never cease,
Where the witch I saw
Dance on stones,
Is the one
Who holds my hand in love....

That's All.

That's All.

A feeling that black,
Rises against white,
And that in love,
We could hate tonight.
Stolen in a moment,
When we held hands,
Said words of love,
Within our foreign lands.
To be at peace,
Brother and sister together,
Is my wildest dream,
Sharing our love forever.

          Love is the key,
                  And that's all free.....!!

A prayer for 2013, and for peace to propagate the earth..
