So Faint

So Faint

I listen with a patient ear,
But I can hardly hear.
A sound, a whisper, a clue
Your breathing shallow, calm.

Askance your smile in death,
As still a waiting panther.
And all I want is freedom,
To know your every dream.

Covenants of earthly bonding,
Calling me to be a spy.
Skulking in the midnight dawn,
Wet foot prints on a dewy lawn.

Wherever I had seen you,
I would go a hundred times.
Be watching and a waiting,
How the face is being born.

Deftly still, a lasting calm,
Before the cooling winter storm.
You breathe without inflection,
Of where you travel now.

Where shadows filter over light,
To fill a waiting hearted man,
I live in hopeful memory,
We could sail to distant lands.

And intimacy has been broken,
In a quiet of the midnight moon.
Belief grows weaker of the faith,
I will need to go without you.

Tender again, your lips breathe,
I hear air as pure as you.
Lifting your cherished bosom aloft,
Where I am also about to faint.

Cold Snap

Cold Snap

Cor....the nip bites deep...
Had I lost all feeling ?
I notice now your absence,
Like the river frozen over
Won't flow, nor feed the sea.

Ice over salty water,
Must be an Arctic chill.
Caught me unprepared again,
Like you leaving in the end.

Rigid, a heart heard harder
Would you still come
If my warmth touch you ?
Amazing how this bitterness
Has gripped the defenses.
Taking us into the gates
Of hell, a world apart,
That froze over our love...

Gloved Hand

Gloved Hand

Prickles of the icy winter,
Tingle up my spine roughly.
Shivers bring the nausea,
Of the sickness of this cold.

Out come the trusty mitts,
Stowed a lower jacket pocket.
Smoothly, deliciously refreshingly
I slip inside with ease.
Cruel memories disappear now,
As your protective warmth heals.

Bliss, absolute bliss !!
Why did I ever forget,
The comfort that you bring ?
Like my winter best friends,
The pair of you reward,
My knowing trust once more,
Of everything you've shared.

Dames please behave !
Cavorting is so wonderful, aha !
Aladdin gets all the praise,
You by virtue of your dress,
Receive all the odd remarks.

Oh no I don't....!!

Oh yes you do....!!

Frilly frocks and manly tone,
A lie of innocent pantomime.
Being bigger than you are,
A whole host of different stages.
Rattling on, a good old joke,
Helping the audience to provoke,
The parody that you're a bloke....

Oh no he isn't....!!

Oh yes she is....!!

Rebellious Boy

Rebellious Boy

Sit down, shut up, don't move !
What sense this order ?
Have we yet idea to prove,
This commanding has proficiency ?
Don't mock me please,
Your pettiness and bawdy rules.
Free men have died for less,
Have these warriors died in vain ?

Me you see, am a rebel,
Raising a merry hell abroad.
Bring down the pomp and ceremony,
When it chastises pure endeavour.
Have these governing schemes,
Thrown arms around the world ?
Shared peace, shared love,
Shared anything, with you,
With me, with anyone ?

So NO ! No more, no less,
Can I sit by in silence,
Ignoring a growing demand,
Bourne out in futile laws.
Don't tell me I'm nothing,
For you rule over nothing then.
And no-one can be heard,
In the arena of intolerance.

Though I will not fight,
Violence only beg-gets violence.
Don't think me a coward,
I tell you in sober tones.
Serve me, serve you, serve all,
Where love becomes the law.
And my rebelliousness is known,
As the fruit of awaking dreams...

'Let politics serve the dead.
Let love serve the living'.

Feel the balance here,
Numerology coming into play.
Earth wide domain has proven,
The stability of the number codes.

For one to equal all,
A shift in our consciousness.
Throwing irons into the fire,
Pulling a yolk on united shoulders.

Giving in, yes giving in !!
To reason of a need,
Allowing sense to dictate policy,
Above sense-less bureaucracy, aha !

Greed has to be put out,
If room for hope be made.
The logic of our numbers games,
Needs revising without delay.

Why

Why

Courage has almost deserted,
The once brave warrior of peace.
Does it amount to a hill of beans,
Or is the very meaning being lost ?

Doubts come, and they go,
Some things from life, we'll never know.
By accepting the role of 'being',
Life seems to be a patsy.

Verify and vilify the clues,
But take no trust from them.
We can only be rendered sad,
For the reasons found out there.

Mystics have sought to know,
All of these timeless ventures.
Some passed the mortal coil,
Aware of precious little else.

Twinkle

Twinkle

The magic of Christmas,
Is finally here.
Do I shed a solitary,
Being alone tear ?
The twinkling lights and,
Garlands of baubles bright,
Announce the festive season,
Come once more.

A carol new resounding,
Is the herald.
Times of goodwill and cheer.
Once again here.
And as my notions awake,
Where are your smiles,
That crossed over leagues,
Being with me ?

You are supposed to be,
With your beloved.
When bells tinkle, candles twinkle
The Yule tide bough.
But gone forever away,
Though I dream again,
Of seasons spent in love,
With you darling.

Santa's sleigh draws near,
Filling my stocking.
But gifts are as nothing,
When you aren't here.
I will not forget you ever,
Life goes on.
Here as the night sky vision,
Twinkle now upon.
