Towpath Lunch date
(Gongoozler's Rest)
My
fabled rumbling tum,
Decided
here I'd pass a while.
Eating
heartily and taking in,
All
the delight of a feasting smile.
The
fare was quite exquisite,
And
the venue, warm and quaint.
The
clientelle had me laugh till bursting,
“Breath
deeply man, before you faint!”
Besides
the barge, a
floating temple,
Where
I stopped to worship food.
The
ducks and geese swam round about,
This
brush with nature heightened my mood.
And
here I lived the simple life,
That
fed more than my rumbling tum.
A
brisk walk along the tow path now,
Was
what I craved to feel the fun.
Thanks to Avril and Della.
