A moment alone with Old John
Deafeningly quiet,
Almost morbid silence.
But a never before scene,
Me and Old John alone, serene.
Given now to,
Desperately happy tears,
My mind and heart sing.
A verse of loves chorus grand,
Life's joyous song, my dream at hand.
He waits for me,
You see, a true friend,
Standing tall and loyal in heat.
And now to back me as winds run,
Out of the western skies from blinding sun.
