Stefan's
Monument.
Over
the seas he came,
to
a land where freedom reigned.
A
man amongst his peers
caring,
loved and desperately missed.
Teaching
by virtue of talent,
Violin
strings played and curled
to
announce the light,
he
carried in his music.
And
in love he gave away
even
though it be,
he
was gay.
How
the man who'd loved
had
warmed the hearts of
desperately
attentive strangers,
where
poetry of golden motion
flew
across the turgid ocean.
And
back on terra firma,
a
memorial to love and friendship,
built
the happiness of children,
for
time and times to come.
