Paddling
Pair
The
first of May,
A
courting pair I see.
Happy,
splashing, dancing free,
In
a city centre puddle.
A
feature brought,
At
great joy to children,
Usually
running, playing here,
Now
abandoned except they.
Up
to their knees,
Waddling
now the paddling pair.
Storm
clouds darken over,
But
they are loving life.
Carefree
and keen to share,
Their
love has filled the air.
Peacefully
they cavort in tune,
Despite
our current monsoon...
