Honey
I'm Home
the
journey began, fresh joy
a
bracing morning wind.
rain
hung thunderously heavy,
determined
to provide calamity.
where
my heart was waiting,
a
smooth aroma brewed hope.
hustle
and bustle enduring,
scurrying
folk ejected from doors.
Whoosh
goes the mayhem again,
as
I step onto cobbled lanes.
across
the open market place,
that
has been alone awhile,
I
skip towards home, a smile.
is
she longing to see me now ?
for
it has been quite a time.
months
rolled into endless days,
where
angels lived to sing a praise.
I
step across her well worn threshold,
to
love the sight that I behold,
and
declare, Honey, I'm home.....!
